A lesbian couple was scolded by a security guard at a May 27 Minnesota Twins game for exchanging a brief kiss at Target Field.
The security guard reportedly told Taylor Campione and Kelsi Culpepper, "We don't play grab ass here," and that they must "adhere to the 10 Commandments," City Pages reports.
The security guard has since been given a verbal and written reprimand, but he is still working at the stadium. Kevin Smith, a spokesman for the Twins, said the incident was "unacceptable."
The guard's identity has not been released, but Smith said the guard has worked for the Twins for nearly a decade and has an otherwise clear record.
Campione said the confrontation ruined their evening, and Culpepper said the couple is filing a complaint with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. They would like a zero-tolerance harassment policy to be instituted at Target Field.
"I think it's pretty pathetic that there isn't one everywhere already," Culpepper told CityPages.
