This was perhaps the best moment of Wednesday's senate hearing on the Respect for Marriage Act. Focus on the Family's Tom Minnery lied under oath about the results of a government study about the effects on kids being raised in a nuclear family. Senator Al Franken pulled out a copy of the study, quoted it verbatim and called Minnery out on his deliberate distortion, saying,‎ "Frankly I don't see how we can trust your testimony when you interpret studies these ways."
