David Beckham took his 3 eldest children — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James andCruz David — for a fun playdate at the beach in Malibu, CA this week for an afternoon of wet and wild fun. As you can see, Becks got into the water to go boogie boarding with Brooklyn, while the younger boys stayed dry on dry land. It would seem that mama Victoria Beckham stayed inside to care for newborn baby Harper Seven … but the boys, they needed to be outside.
There are many perks to having a celebrated athlete as a father, and Brooklyn Beckham enjoyed one of them today when his father David gave him a piggy back in the ocean. The 12-year-old and the LA Galaxy star, 36 , were frolicking with the dolphins in the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean near their new rented home in Malibu today. The pair have enjoyed several boogie-board sessions in the surf since the family moved into the $150,000 a month house, which is owned by director Steven Spielberg. But today the waves were particularly choppy, so at one point the statuesque midfielder gave his eldest boy a piggy back – one that hoisted his son well above a fierce wave. The Beckhams’ youngest son Cruz, six , could be seen watching the action enviously from the beach, where he was safely away from any marine-based danger. Though it was clear to see from the look on the young scamp’s face that he’ll be out as soon as he is able, Romeo, eight, who is following his mother’s footsteps in the fashion stakes, seemed happier to stay on dry land. The Beckham boys were joined by friends for the afternoon of fun, though mummy Victoria was resting at home with daughter Harper Seven, who was born on July 10.
While I sincerely doubt that Les Beckhams play favorites with their kids, it’s clear thatBecks loves the time he gets to spend with his sons. That being said, I fully expect to see little Miss Harper right out there playing with her brothers as soon as she’s grown enough. I can only imagine how elated Vicki B. must be to have a little girl to dote on. I’m sure she doesn’t mind — at all — all the alonetime she gets with the little darling while the boys out out playing ;)
