After a highly-controversial trip overseas, Kim Kardashian is back in the U.S.! Kim headed over to Bahrain to promote Millions of Milkshakes, and her arrival was met with a bit of controversy.
Kim Kardashian’s appearance at the Millions of Milkshakes launch in Bahrain on Saturday was met by some upset Middle Easterners. While CNN was unable to independently confirm these reports, they cited an unidentified local newspaper’s claims of 100 Shiite Muslim protesters with anti-Kim signs that had to be teargassed by local authories.Here are new pictures of Kim in Miami today with her best friend, Jonathan Cheban.
But Millions of Milkshakes promoter Sheeraz Hasan has a different perspective on what went down. “WHAT PROTESTS?” he tweeted, linking to a YouTube video of adoring fans cheering for the E! star. “Kim Kardashian loved by the people of Bahrain & wants to return!!”
Kim, of kourse, wasn’t fased by a few detractors. Kanye West’s girlfriend tweetedthat she had “such a fun day in Bahrain!!!”
Kuwait also got a visit from Kim Friday when she attended their Millions of Milkshakes launch. Wearing a hot Stephane Rolland white dress, she blogged about her experience, thanking “everyone in Kuwait for being so friendly and welcoming.”
Klearly, jet-setting around the globe is just a way of life for this entrepreneur. Fortunately, wherever her travels take her, the locals will make her feel right at home. Per Reuters, Kim was the most searched person on Yahoo in the year 2012.
