Of all the many pro-LGBT 'It Gets Better' videos out there, I think that True Blood actress Carrie Preston's may be my favorite.Preston, who plays Arlene on the hit HBO show, tells LGBT youth that queer-inclusive people are "part of a community that's humane, a part of a community that accepts people, a part of a community that loves people. And will love you for who you are."
She hits the nail on the head: folks who support diversity and difference illustrate the best parts of human beings' social inclination. Those who would rather exclude difference are the true monsters in this scenario.
