The Hair gelled DJ's rider includes demands for two one-liter bottles of liquor and four of Champagne “to spray crowd.” He also insists on first-class flights for him and a companion, plus “window or aisle” seats for his entourage back in coach. The rider also says that security must meet the DJ at the airport, and that his ground transportation must be “an Escalade or Navigator.” Accommodations must be in a four- or five-star hotel with “24-hour room service.” And, most tellingly, there is “absolutely NO use of MTV name/logo and ‘Jersey Shore’ logo.”

Activists ask Lady Gaga to pose in lettuce dress

First, Lady Gaga wore a dress made of meat. Now, how about one made of lettuce?

Indian animal rights activists have asked pop star Lady Gaga to pose in a lettuce dress and embrace vegetarianism during her visit to India this weekend, where she will be part of the star-studded unveiling of the country’s first Formula 1 race.

Lady Gaga, who famously wore a meat dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, will be performing at an invitation-only show in a five-star hotel inNew Delhi after the race on Sunday.

In a letter to the singer’s publicist, PETA India said it hoped she would honor India‘s reverence for animals by turning vegetarian for the duration of her visit and posing for photos in a lettuce gown to promote the importance of not eating meat.

“If she agrees, we’ll make her a dress entirely of lettuce and held together by pins and threads. It will be a full length gown, and we’ll make sure it looks sexy,” said Sachin Bangera of PETA India.

The dress would be constructed leaf by leaf on the singer’s body, taking some five to six hours.

“Someone will be on hand to spray the lettuce with water so that it doesn’t wilt,” Bangera added.

Earlier this year, in an interview with Indian chat show host Simi Garewal, Lady Gaga said she would like to soak up the local culture by taking an Indian cooking class.

Excitement has been bubbling all week about the country’s first Formula 1 Grand Prix, which is seen as a symbol of India‘s growing global clout while also highlighting its enormous disparities in wealth.

Michael Lohan Arrested AGAIN For The Second Time In Three Days

Just a couple days after he was arrested earlier this week for domestic violence and mere hours after his release from jail, trainwreck insane-o Michael Lohan was arrested AGAIN in Tampa, Florida. If you can believe it, Lohan decided to contact his ex-girlfriend Kate Major as soon as he was released from jail after being arrested for allegedly assaulting her. Major called the police and Lohan tried to escape when the police came to question him (by jumping out a window and landing in a tree) but he was foiled … then arrested and hauled back to jail … AGAIN.

Michael Lohan was just arrested AGAIN in Florida after allegedly contacting his GF Kate Major — and law enforcement tells TMZ, he tried to escape by jumping a 3rd-story balcony … and accidentally fell into a tree. According to law enforcement sources, Tampa police responded to a call early this morning from Kate, who claimed Michael had been trying to contact her by phone and wouldn’t leave her alone. We’re told officers interviewed Kate at her apartment after she made the call — the same apartment where Michael allegedly bruised her up earlier this week — and while they were there, Michael allegedly called again. According to law enforcement, officers believed Michael was a “threat” — so they rolled up to his hotel to arrest him. But here’s the crazy part — law enforcement tells TMZ, Michael tried to escape by hopping his 3rd story balcony … and he ended up falling into a tree. After officers pulled him down, Michael was placed under arrest for violating a condition of his pretrial release (presumably for contacting Kate) … and resisting arrest without violence. Michael is currently back in custody — at the same jail he was released from less than twelve hours ago.

I, for one, am at a complete loss. I mean, I know that Michael Lohan is a trainwreck but his insane behavior is now nearly as bad as, well, his daughter Lindsay Lohan‘s behavior. Clearly Michael and Lindsay are trying to see which one of them can get arrested more times in a single year. Counting this latest arrest, he must — at least — have as many mug shot photos as Lindsay has. This new arrest may have put him in the mug shot collection lead. OY! Can you believe this? Like, really? I find myself surprised and not surprised all at the same time. These Lohans, man, they are an interesting bunch, no?

MTV's channel "Teen Nick" has begun airing a promotional announcement for TheTrevorHelpline.org. The Trevor Helpline states it is "a free and confidential service that's open for gay and questioning youth. Be proud of who you are." The organization's website has a constant link called "Things to consider when coming out" and is currently promoting "LGBT History Month October 2011. 31 Days. 31 Icons." It goes on to list celebrities that are LGBT icons. LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, and now adding Q which stands for Questioning Youth is referenced LGBTQ on this site.
The Trevor Helpline promotion aired during the "Beat It" episode of Teen Nick's Degrassi series when teen Riley, the openly gay football captain and starting quarterback, declined reparative therapy for his homosexuality. Not only is Teen Nick now featuring a show that encourages the nation's youth to embrace alternate lifestyles, but the family retail chain Target Corporation is helping through sponsorship.
Upon discovering that Target Corporation is one of the main advertisers during the shameful and inappropriate program Degrassi, OMM is disappointed and the retail chain needs to be held accountable. At least three Target advertisements appeared during each episode of Degrassi this past weekend.
They are openly recruiting teens and children to become 'gay' on a program that also promotes the transgender and homosexual lifestyle.
OMM wonders how the helpline helps a child or teenager who may be a bit confused about his or her sexuality, since it openly promotes that "if you call this helpline, you are not persuaded to walk away from the lifestyle. You are persuaded to be proud and embrace it." Target and Teen Nick are being extremely irresponsible.

Please send Target an email to let them know that you don't appreciate Target's ads helping to subsidize this promotion on the Teen Nick show, Degrassi, and the destructive program itself.

Zachary Quinto Ready For “Thrilling” Future After Coming Out

Zachary Quinto says he has a “thrilling and scary” future ahead of him since coming out as gay.

The actor — who admitted he felt he needed to admit his sexuality to help contribute to “complete equality” following the suicide of a gay teenager Jamey Rodemeyer in September — thanked his supporters but denied he is a “trailblazer.”

He said: “I feel so incredibly grateful to all of the people who’ve reached out to me directly or indirectly or just in spirit and I feel really, really like my entire future is laid out in a different way and it’s thrilling and scary and overwhelming.

“There’ve been people on this path who were much bigger trailblazers than me who did this at a time when it was even harder… and if me standing up and making some kind of acknowledgement and declaration helps that, then I can’t ask for anything more out of my life.”

After coming out in an interview with New York Magazine, Zachary took to his blog to talk about the need for civil equality for every gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered citizen of this country

He said: “In light of Jamey’s death—it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it—is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality.

“Our society needs to recognize the unstoppable momentum toward unequivocal civil equality for every gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered citizen of this country.”

Writing on twitter, he added: “i have spent the day in awe of this outpouring of support and resonance. we. are. in. this. together. NEVER FORGET! i am deeply moved.”

Illegal Silicone Buttock Injections Can Be Deadly: Experts

At least one woman died and others came close after illicit procedures from non-physicians

MONDAY, Oct. 24 (HealthDay News) -- The 30-year-old woman arrived at the Henry Ford Hospital emergency room in Detroit out of breath and coughing blood.

It didn't take long for doctors to figure out why: The woman admitted to having been at a party at a hotel five days prior at which she -- and others -- received injections of liquid silicone to "enhance" the buttocks and various body parts.

The silicone was not the medical silicone that is sometimes used for implants, but the type easily procured at hardware stores like Home Depot. The fat solvent used to make the silicone had quickly traveled to her lungs and gotten stuck in the airways, resulting in "silicone embolism syndrome," or clots, in this case, in the smaller vessels in her lungs.

The syndrome, admittedly rare, was first seen in transsexual men wanting to augment their breasts in the 1970s.

"There are two types of side effects [that can result from silicone injections]," said Dr. Angel Coz, the pulmonary and critical care specialist who treated the woman. "Lungs is one of them. The other goes to the brain. The mortality in lungs is close to 20 percent but in the brain it's close to 100 percent."

This woman, who was attempting to augment her buttocks, was one of the lucky ones. She survived after receiving steroids, said Coz, who is slated to present information on the case Monday at the American College of Chest Physicians' annual meeting in Honolulu.

Others have died.

"We've been hearing about this," said Dr. Malcolm Z. Roth, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. "There are 'pumping parties,' involving high-volume injections to fill up the face, lips, cheekbones, chin or breast. Often it's buttock enhancement and often it's not sterile."

And these illicit procedures may be on the rise, thanks to a slow economy and pocketbooks that aren't full enough to afford licensed plastic surgeons, said Roth, who is also chief of plastic surgery at the Albany Medical Center in New York.

"It's really a white-coat deception," Roth said. "Sometimes the person doing the injections claims to be a physician from another country and in some cases the patient knows very well it's not a physician but, feeling they can't afford to go to a legitimate board-certified plastic surgeon, they find a short cut."

Two other, similar cases of patients developing complications after silicone injections are also being presented at the meeting this week.

One involved a 22-year-old woman who showed up at the UCLA Medical Center emergency room, also with shortness of breath. This quickly progressed to right ventricular failure of the heart and the patient died despite the physicians' best efforts.

Most likely, the silicone and solvent had damaged the lungs, leading to collapse of the heart.

This patient had had injections in her buttocks from "a doctor in Mexico" earlier that day, a friend told doctors.

The researchers presenting the case said this is the first documented case of right ventricular failure from silicone injections.

The third case was a 23-year-old woman with the familiar symptoms, shortness of breath and cough, who had had several silicone injections in her buttocks.

She was diagnosed with silicone embolism syndrome but, after receiving oxygen and steroids and spending five days in the hospital, recovered and went home.

According to Roth, patients should "run away from these procedures."

"You don't do medical procedures in a hotel room or garage. This procedure is illegal," he said. "Patients need to do their homework and check the credentials of the professional they're considering for their cosmetic procedure."

"This is something that is not done by doctors," added Coz. "It's completely out of the realm of what any physician would do."

Joplin, MO Teacher's Bullying Solution: 'Don't Be Gay'; Suggests 13 More Kids Need to Die for Issue to Warrant Attention

Yet another teacher is under fire for anti-gay remarks made on Facebook.

Jim Whitney, a teacher at Joplin High School in Missouri responded to former student Josh Gonzalez, who posted a Facebook link to a news article 15-year-old Jamie Hubley, who committed suicide after being bullied.
Said Whitney: "Moral of the story: Don't be gay."
When another commenter asked, "How many more kids have to kill themselves before everyone realizes that this is an actual issue?," Whitney responded, "11-13 ought to do it. Somewhere in that vicinity."
The comments were posted by Missourians for Marriage Equality on the group's Facebook page, where they encouraged people to contact the Joplin school board.
The Joplin Globe reports:

Whitney did not respond to requests for an interview but released a statement via email on Monday afternoon saying he was sorry the incident occurred.

“I do not condone bullying or harassment of any kind and I am very aware and saddened by the negative impact this type of behavior creates. I regret that the posts appeared on Facebook. They do not reflect my personal views and I apologize for any and all offenses caused by the comment.”

Whitney, however, did not respond to follow-up emails and telephone calls to explain how comments that do not reflect his views came from his Facebook account, nor has he been available for additional questions.

Board President Ashley Micklethwaite said the school board would likely discuss the remarks at a meeting yesterday.
